David Varrieur

David Varrieur is a Tampa-based actor and producer whose work spans independent film, television, and stage. With a natural intensity and a commitment to authentic character work, he has built a growing body of screen credits across thriller and horror — genres where his grounded, physical presence translates with particular force.

His 2025 film The House Sitter earned a Best Thriller nomination at the Tampa Bay Underground Film Festival, where he played the lead role of Harold Finch. That same year, Frost Park — on which David also served as Executive Producer — took home the Best Thriller win. His additional credits include Hunter's Cabin: Flesh and Blood, Diary of a Serial Killer, and Creeper in the Woods, all produced with Reaper Films and Fear Fame Productions.

On television, David led the pilot teaser for The Prairie Preacher with NuStream Entertainment — a project that showcased his range beyond genre work. His commercial credits include a campaign for Bojano Homes, and a full-day print and web shoot for ReliaQuest, LLC.

David's foundation is the stage. He has played lead roles in some of theater's most demanding productions — Tony in West Side Story, Harold Hill in The Music Man, Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum — and continues to perform as Detective David Newland in the ongoing Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Show aboard the Starship Yacht.

A trained improviser and singer, David also brings an exceptional range of physical skills to his work — including equestrian, scuba diving, motorcycling, and snow skiing — making him a versatile choice for productions that demand more than performance alone.
